On August 13, 1998, the Department of Education began its journey with a Pass course. A year later, on September 6, 2000, the department introduced its first honors course with a modest number of 40 students. Today, that number has grown to 160, reflecting the department’s steady growth and popularity. From its inception, the department has pursued educational excellence with great determination. Its reputation has spread widely due to the encouragement and dedication of its teachers. The department's commitment to fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment has been a cornerstone of its success. The focus has always been on providing quality education and ensuring that students receive the best possible guidance and support.
As the number of students increased, so did the number of teachers. This growth has enabled the department to offer a more diverse and comprehensive curriculum, addressing the varying needs and interests of its students. Through optimism, the department has transformed many students from "zero to hero." In 2005, when the honorable NAAC team visited Mahishadal Girls' College, the Department of Education emerged as the lead department, demonstrating its excellence and prominence within the college. The department continues to strive for higher standards and greater achievements. We anticipate that during the next visit of the honorable NAAC team, the department will become even more prosperous and continue to lead, solidifying its position as a premier department within the college.
